A Boxer Story of Taboo and Tasha

This boxer story tells the tale of two female boxers who didn't start out liking each other... but then, improbably became the best of friends.

I have 2 wonderful female boxer dogs, Taboo and Tasha. Taboo is currently 6 years old, and my family raised her from a puppy. Her pedigree name is Little Miss Licks Alot, and boy does that name say it all. We adopted Tasha less than a year ago, she is believed to be 5.

At first the two females did not really get along. One day we had a couple come look at Tasha, to possibly adopt her. All of a sudden the two females became best friends. My parents researched and worked hard to help Taboo establish dominance, and keep the jealousy to a minimum. Taboo and Tasha are best friends, they play and then they kiss, and even sleep on each other. They can eat out of the same bowl, at the same time (with no growling). Taboo and Tasha are inseparable, but have two completely different personalities.

Many people advise possible boxer owners not to have two females together. But with the right techniques, patience, and love I believe that two females can establish a close bond like that of a male and female dog together. Taboo and Tasha truly love each other, and they show that you can't believe everything you hear or read. I love my Taboo and Tasha, and I always consider them my sisters.
