Roxe and Murphy

A Boxer Love Story... by Kate

Read this story of two boxer dogs who started out as enemies and have ended up as best of friends...

I have 2 beautiful boxer dogs, Roxe and Murphy. We rescued Murphy from a dogs' home at the age of 6 months where his previous owner had left him after he couldn't take him on and enemies of the owner had tried to burn Murphy.

After about a year of having him, my parents thought we would have to send him back, due to Roxe was always attacking him. We asked the vet what to do and she said "Give Roxe more attention, she is jealous. Treat her as the top dog,".

So we did... After 3 weeks of treating Roxe as "Top Dog," she and Murphy seemed happy to be together. One day I was on the PC and Murphy lay down beside the chair; Roxe came along and licked his face and ever since then she's started acting like his mother.

Now Roxe holds his lead when we walk them and she lets him cuddle up to her when he is sad bless. They love each other and I adore them, thank you sooo much for reading this...
